grabc software package provides simple program to determine the color string in hex by clicking on a pixel, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install grabc
grabc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the grabc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep grabc *
You will get with grabc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
